Cleveland, Tenn. – (May 17, 2017) – Heil Trailer recently recognized a long-time dealer, Werts Welding & Tank Service, for its 60th year in business. At a special dinner during the National Tank Truck Carriers annual conference in Chicago, Heil Trailer presented the Werts team with a plaque commemorating the milestone.

Werts Welding & Tank Service, headquartered in Wood River, Illinois, was founded in 1957 by Robert R. Werts. Shortly after the construction of the company’s first building, Mr. Werts was approached by a local trucking company to repair a damaged petroleum tank. This marked the entry of Werts Welding & Tank Service into the tank trailer industry. Today, the family-owned company operates eight locations serving customers around the country.

Offering the full line of Heil Trailer products, Werts Welding & Tank Service is consistently a top five dealer for Heil. “We’ve been proud to be a leading Heil Trailer dealer, offering our customers some of the best tank trailers in the industry,” stated Dwight Werts, President and CEO of Werts Welding & Tank Service. “Taking care of our customers means providing products that deliver quality and performance. Heil Trailer helps us do exactly that.”

“We’ve been honored to have Werts Welding & Tank Service among our family of dealers for nearly 30 years,” said Ryan Rockafellow, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Heil Trailer. “To be a family-owned and operated business for 60 years is a considerable achievement and one that deserves the highest recognition.”
